Constantly anxious, I knit, crochet (embroider, sew, weave, etc...) to fight my bad habits! I tend to make stuff compulsively and my boyfriend can't stand to see them piling up at home!
I have projects here and there in the house, and also a bunch in my head. Since Instagram isn't tactile (yet?!), I'm sharing my soft makes here with you!
To me, textile making has a very strong affiliation to my grandmas. Little, I would cross-stitch with my grandmother. Teenager, mom introduced me to knitting. We made pink slippers which we would then sell and give back profits to the Breast cancer foundation. Unfortunately, grandma didn't see this knitting passion of mine as she passed a few years ago. In 2014, I got back into knitting and learned to crochet by myself. Then, it was Mamie whom I could comfort with my makes when she started being sick. Pillow, blankets, shawls... she ended up leaving us too, but I found a bunch of unfinished dishscloths around her place...
It's thinking of her that I started crocheting dishcloths back in January, getting excited each time I came across a new yarn color!
